Mike Flanagan is Horrors Godfather these days…

The Exorcist: Martyrs Finally Revealed

One of the biggest horror headlines of the week came from filmmaker Mike Flanagan, who officially unveiled the title of his upcoming Exorcist film: The Exorcist: Martyrs. Flanagan described the movie as the "darkest" and "scariest" project of his career, promising a completely original story rather than a rehash of the classic possession tale. First-look footage and plot details also surfaced this week, revealing a crime-thriller angle involving a serial killer, demonic evil, and a detective portrayed by Scarlett Johansson. The First Teaser for The Exorcist: Martyrs comes out TOMORROW!

Carrie Arrives on Prime Video

Flanagan's new adaptation of Stephen King's Carrie premiered this week on Prime Video. Early reactions have been praising the series' performances and its expanded approach to the iconic telekinetic horror story. The release marks another major King adaptation for Flanagan and keeps him firmly at the center of the horror conversation this Halloween season.

Horror Gaming

Halloween: The Game Announces Major DLC Drop

The biggest horror gaming news this week belongs to Halloween: The Game. Developers announced the first post-launch DLC arriving October 27, featuring:

  • Michael Myers skins based on Halloween 5 and Halloween (2018)

  • The brand-new Tower Farm map inspired by Halloween 5

  • New civilian characters

  • Halloween-themed costume packs

  • Additional quality-of-life updates

The Tower Farm map will be free for all players, bringing cornfields, farmhouses, pumpkin patches, and a distinctly autumn atmosphere to Haddonfield's latest nightmare.

More Seasonal Horror Games and Sales Arrive

October's horror lineup continues expanding across platforms as publishers push spooky-season content. New horror releases and seasonal events are appearing throughout the month in the Steam Store, as well as consoles making this one of the busiest horror gaming periods of the year (obviously). If you guys are playing any indie horror games we havent talked about, please share them with us!

Podcast Pick: Otherworld

The paranormal podcast Otherworld released a new episode this week, Longs Peak, continuing its popular format of firsthand encounters with ghosts, UFOs, and unexplained phenomena. It's one of the stronger paranormal listens currently putting out weekly content.

Real World Paranormal and Unexplained

NASA Chief Comments on UFO Reports

One of the more interesting unexplained headlines this week came from Jared Isaacman, who stated he remains "open-minded" regarding unexplained aerial phenomena and believes NASA should have a seat at the table if evidence eventually points toward something extraordinary. The comments generated significant discussion throughout the UFO community.

The Mystery of the Wyoming Orbs Continues

Reports continue to circulate regarding strange lights repeatedly appearing over portions of Wyoming. The phenomenon has resurfaced in paranormal news coverage this week, with witnesses describing recurring unexplained aerial lights over remote areas.

Cryptid Sightings in England

A strange "Catfoot" creature is making headlines after reports of a large feline-like animal roaming parts of the English countryside. While likely explainable, it's quickly become one of the week's more entertaining cryptid stories.
