Carrie “Finally Speaks”
The first full trailer for Carrie, the upcoming Mike Flanagan adaptation for Prime Video, dropped this week. Unlike the earlier teaser, this trailer gives us our first substantial look at the series' dialogue and performances. Summer H. Howell stars as Carrie White, with all eight episodes arriving October 7.
Backrooms 2 Already Moving Forward
One of the biggest horror stories of the week is the reported development of Backrooms 2. According to industry reports, Kane Parsons is expected to return to direct the sequel for A24 following the massive success of the original film. No release date has been announced yet, but analog horror fans have plenty of reason to be excited.
American Horror Story: 13 Releases New Trailer
A new trailer for American Horror Story: 13 promises what appears to be a massive reunion season. Fan-favorite characters and actors are returning, including appearances from familiar faces spanning multiple eras of the franchise. FX is keeping the plot tightly under wraps, but longtime fans are already speculating wildly.
Godzilla Returns
Not really Horror, but I love Godzilla so it is what it is lol. Toho released a new trailer for Godzilla Minus Zero, giving fans a better look at the upcoming sequel from director Takashi Yamazaki. The trailer has sparked heavy fan theories after teasing a mysterious ending and possible new kaiju surprises.
Crystal Lake
Coming next month - October 15th! This will star the amazing Linda Cardellini as Pamela Voorhees, Jasons mom in the F13 series, and show the events that shaped Jason, and her inevitible fall as his mother in the first film. This one is one im very excited for, and hope it can push the F13 series into something more interesting than just a slasher, especially after the game was mothballed and Illfonic moved on to the Halloween franchise.

Halloween: The Game Arrives
The asymmetrical multiplayer title Halloween: The Game launched this week, allowing players to either become Michael Myers or desperately try to survive Haddonfield. If you're a fan of games asymetrical horror games like Dead by Daylight, this is probably one to keep on your radar.
Much like F13 - The Game, this game is riddled with bugs, and has some growing pages, but imo its got charm, some of the systems are very fun and fresh, and the devs at Illfonic seem very quick to act on feedback and implementing changes. The visuals are very good, and the attention to detail is very good. I know im looking forward to playing it, and Josh has streamed it on Twitch. We’ll both get more time in game soon, along with other horror games and I look forward to sharing all of that via Twitch, Youtube, and here on the blog!

The Harbor by Katrine Engberg
I went to the book store recently and they had the horror section bolstered for the Halloween season and this book caught my eye. Only a couple chapters in so far, but its very good! If youre looking for a spooky season read, consider this one! Another book that was on the horror display that I would highly recommend, Between Two Fires by Christopher Buehlman. That book is EXCELLENT and defintely worth space on your bookshelf. Also, always love to shout out the classic, The Fisherman by John Langan (imagine that, me and a coastal horror book).
