Room 733 - “CreepyPasta” Review by Josh
This story was a good one and gave me Phasmophobia / Ghost Hunting vibes. This was by CK Walker who wrote Borrasca which is a story I highly recommend. Also, this story goes hand in hand with what we are trying to do about talking with ghosts / finding evidence.
Characters:
Becca- Main Character
Lydia- Best friend
Premise of the story:
Two girls move into a college for their freshman year, and their room is number 734, and when they are moving in, someone comes in and talks about room 733 and how it is referred to as the Suicide Room.
Story:
Two girls move into a college dorm for their freshman year, and their room is number 734. When they are moving in, someone comes in and talks about room 733 and how it is referred to as the Suicide Room. There were 2 deaths to start off with in this room, a jumping death, and then a hanging. Not long after they move in, they start hearing scratching, knocking, slamming, all kinds of different sounds in the middle of the night coming from next door. They start thinking there is someone trying to play a trick on them, so they go to look next door, but the door is padlocked from the outside. The noises continue through multiple days. They even hear whispering coming from the room. This causes them to reach out for help from a Paranormal Society on campus. They even ask for room reassignment because of all the sounds they hear. As they are researching more, they find out there were 5 Suicides in that room not just 2. Either hangings or jumping out the window.
All these deaths happened when the person was alone in the room. As a result of the deaths up until this year they closed the 7th floor so no one could be on the same floor as them, but because of the size of this freshman class they must open it back up. While at the library the librarian says there was a Ouija board used and that’s around when all this stuff started happening. While at the library they make a comment about the small windows, and the librarian said that’s not room 733 that’s the utility closet. When they added the addition, they just moved the numbers down. The room that Becca was staying in was room 733 but labeled as 734… that’s when they realize Lydia is by herself in the room because of a fight she had with her boyfriend.
Spoilers:
They just say the ghost has yellow eyes and it’s a trickster.
The room they were in was the room where all the suicides happened.
Lydia was in the room by herself so by the time the girls got to the room she looked back crying and jumped out the window.
Becca calls the school multiple times to see if that floor is available, and at the end of the story the administration office got approval to open the 7th floor again.
What made the people do it?
The trickster possessed them to.
