The Extreme Ghost Tour of Williamsburg Candlelight Walking Tour - Oct. 4th
Josh here: I wanted to put up my thoughts on the ghost tour I went on Saturday night. It was one of the coolest experiences with ghosts I have ever had!
The tour itself is patented and copyrighted, so I cannot talk about the buildings but can just give you, my thoughts.
Stephen here: I wasn’t able to make it, I was tied up doing some volunteer work, but I am planning to go soon and believe Josh will be going back with me!
Location of Tour:
This tour is given in Colonial Williamsburg near William and Mary.
Tour Guide:
A seasoned paranormal investigator with over 20 years of experience, she told me she has been all over the East Coast to include Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum.
My overall experience:
I have never been to any of the Colonial Williamsburg Tours. This was the first one I ever took part in and there was ghost hunting equipment used, to include: Rem Pod, Spirit box, Dowsing rods, and EMF reader. It was a walking tour, took about 2 hours to complete, stopping at several locations such as a jail. We even used the ESTES method. For those of you who are not familiar with this method, it is about deprivation of your senses, you are blind folded and have noise cancelling headphones connected to the spirit box. This ensures you are unable to hear the questions being asked, so all you hear are the responses.
The tour was amazing and started off with a bang when I took a picture of one of the top right windows of a building and got a full body apparition of a female in Colonial Garbs. The top floor is blocked off to the “living” so whatever you would see in the upper floor should be something not living. Right before I took this picture, the tour guide, got a full body apparition of a man in a Three-Piece Suit with a Top hat. This isn’t the only thing we got on the tour either. While on the spirit box, I asked if the ghost was kept there, and it said oh yes. Clear as day. Then the next question I asked was for what reason, and it said “PIRATE”.
For the rest of the tour, we used other equipment and were constantly getting something unexplainable. The last thing we did on the tour was use the Estes Method. I went first of course; I heard hello quickly after I put them on. The tour guide asked the ghost to say hello to Josh and that’s when I heard hello. Once I finished, I started getting traction on the questions, I was asking questions such as where you lived, and were you in the hospital, and got multiple responses. The last person to do the Estes method, said Elizabeth which we found out was two people on the tours name. We leaned on that hard and were trying to get the spirit to touch the bear with the rempod in it. At one point one of the Elizabeth’s stepped back and over the spirit box it said Don’t be afraid, the girl stepped forward, and then on the spirit box it said Thank you.
Closing thoughts on this tour:
One of the most life changing events in my curiosity of the paranormal. If you are not a believer go on this tour and I can almost guarantee you will believe.
