Horror icon Tim Curry passed away this week at the age of 80. Horror Gaming
Alan Wake II Surpasses 3 Million Copies Sold
Remedy Entertainment announced that Alan Wake II has officially sold more than 3 million copies worldwide. The psychological survival horror title continues to find new audiences nearly three years after launch, cementing its place among the most successful modern horror games. [bloody-dis...usting.com]
This game continues to be one that I’m blown away by. The first game was a masterpiece but the atmosphere and storytelling of Alan Wake II continues to hold up and is easily one of my top 10 games of the past decade. If you havent played this game, you’re truly doing yourself a diservice.
Books and Podcasts
Quiet Week for Horror Publishing
The past week or so have been relatively quiet on the horror book and podcast front compared to the constant stream of movie news. No major horror novel announcements or significant podcast developments gained widespread coverage this week.
That said, with the Halloween season approaching, expect publishers and creators to begin ramping up announcements throughout September!
